Chair: Emmanuel Ojameruaye, PHD
Dr. Emmanuel Ojameruaye is currently the Chair of the Deacons Board of the Church. Raised in a Baptist family in Nigeria where he was first ordained a Deacon in 1998 at the Ufuoma Baptist Church, Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria, he and his family moved to United States on an international assignment in January 2002, and joined the Church shortly thereafter in March 2002, and was ordained Deacon in the Church in 2004. He has served in several positions in the Church including Director of Sunday School and Chair of the Personnel Committee. He is also currently a Sunday School Teacher (Lamplighters/Pairs n’ Spares Class), member Board of Trustees, Chair of Finance Committee. A devout Christian, he has been married to Josephine since 1985 and they are blessed with five children and six grand children. An economist/statistician and program manager/grant writer by profession, he is currently an Advanced Program Coordinator/Grant Writer at Pima County Community College District, Tucson. He spends Monday to Friday working in Tucson and the weekends in Phoenix with his family and attending to his duties in the Church. He likes Christian music, teaching and traveling.
